UDSENTERPRISE 4.0 FLEXIBLE AND EFFICIENT VDI
In 2019 we already talked about UDS Enterprise 2.2, yesterday they published the UDS Enterprise 4.0 Release Candidate version. This connection broker will not cease to surprise us, as partners it is a real pleasure to continue offering this to our clients because there is nothing like it on the market that surpasses it, the Virtual Cable team knows how to do things very well.
From version 2.2 to 4.0 there has been a constant evolution adding more and more features.
Today the number of service providers is unbeatable, adding more options every year.
Who gives you this on the market? Nobody. You can use all these platforms, you are not tied to any, that is already an invaluable value.
In this new version, Google Cloud and Scale Computing have been added, for example, with all the existing functionalities available from the rest of the providers and other new ones, allowing the deployment of self-generated services on demand (VDI) and connection to existing services (Fixed).
They have expanded the existing support for the Huawei Cloud platform and have also added support for OVHcloud.
One of the most notable features is the ability to return machines to the cache, greatly speeding up machine setup time and saving on read and write operations.
Now, most providers offer the possibility of creating services with existing machines, allowing control of user sessions with the unmanaged actor and, of course, giving the possibility of using snapshots on platforms that support it.
In the Services section they have added a new element called Servers, where we can find RDS and Static IP type services, divided into Managed and Unmanaged.
Moving on to the pools we see that we can customize the text shown to users in the display section.
Coming to the meta pools which allow us to join pools even if they are on different platforms, we find another new feature (high availability HA). With it, the system will automatically detect when one of the service pools that make up the meta pool is down, launching the services based on the established balancing policies.
Another element worth highlighting is notifications, email and Telegram notifications have been added.
One of the new features that we liked the most, since we love the Linux world as you have seen, is the new OS Manager to add Linux desktops to Active Directory, which is increasingly in demand. We have been doing this for years, you can see the blog article Unir Linux a AD , but obviously using scripts in the creation of desktops thanks to the fact that the UDS actor allows us to do so. Now thanks to the UDS Enterprise team our life will be easier.
There are many others, including, as we have seen in these images, the visual appearance.
We are looking forward to the stable version to be released to squeeze out all these new features. If you are interested in deploying UDS Enterprise, please contact us, we will be happy to help you with the deployment.
We encourage you to visit their web www.udsenterprise.com
Enjoy the weekend!!
